STRABUN Privacy Policy

STRABUN ("we", "our", or "us") is a Windows application developed by ConGeoTech.

This Privacy Policy explains how STRABUN handles information when you use the application.

1. Who Operates STRABUN

STRABUN is developed and operated by ConGeoTech.

2. Google Account and Google Drive

STRABUN uses Google OAuth so you can connect your Google Drive account.

The application requests only the following OAuth scope:

https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file

This scope allows STRABUN to create and manage files and folders that STRABUN creates or uses for its archive, rather than giving the application unrestricted access to your entire Google Drive.

3. Data Accessed

STRABUN may access:

  • The Google account identifier and display information required to show which account is connected.
  • STRABUN-created files and folders in Google Drive.
  • Photographs and metadata you place in the STRABUN archive.

4. Google Drive Storage

Your family archive is stored in your own Google Drive inside a STRABUN-managed folder such as:

ConGeoTech does not operate a separate STRABUN cloud photo-storage backend for this application.

5. Authentication Credentials

STRABUN handles authentication credentials with care:

  • OAuth access tokens are temporary.
  • The Google OAuth refresh token is stored locally on the Windows device using Windows Credential Locker.
  • The refresh token is not stored in your Google Drive.
  • STRABUN does not require your Google password.
  • ConGeoTech does not receive your Google password.

6. Photo Processing

Current STRABUN photo restoration and colorization processing is designed to run locally on the user's computer.

7. Data Sharing and Sale

Regarding your data:

  • ConGeoTech does not sell STRABUN user data.
  • STRABUN does not use family photographs for advertising.
  • STRABUN does not share Google user data with advertisers.

8. Analytics

The current STRABUN POC does not include analytics or advertising telemetry.

9. User Control

Users have complete control over their accounts and data:

  • You can revoke STRABUN's Google access at any time from your Google Account permissions.
  • You can delete the STRABUN Archive from your own Google Drive.
  • You can uninstall STRABUN to remove locally stored application data and credentials, subject to Windows and Google behavior.

10. Google API Limited Use

STRABUN's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

11. Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated as STRABUN evolves and the effective date will be updated accordingly.
